Hi there and welcome to my Website. My name is Carlos Cruz, research scientist (PhD in Electronics) born in Villacarrillo.
Confirmed musicholic, very passionate about the indie music, flamenco and Andalucia. I have lived in Grenoble (France) and studied in Granada. I am currently living in Alcalá de Henares.

Carlos Cruz holds an M.Sc. in Electronics engineering at the University of Granada and the PhD degree in electronics from the University of Alcala, Spain. He is an experienced engineer with extensive background in detectors evaluation, software simulation and hardware design. Since 2022, Carlos is a Lecturer with the Electronics Department, University of Alcala. He has worked on different research centres (ESRF and ALBA Synchrotrons, ESSBilbao, CSIC or CIEMAT) and has participated in several research projects, whose main results have been published in different high quality journals. His areas of research are Smart Grids, the Internet of Things, Reconfigurable Hardware, Electronic Design and Data Analysis. Carlos is involved on the editorial board of the Sustainable Cities and Society Journal and he is IEEE senior member.
